ABOUT THE ITINERARY
DESIGNED BY SPECIALISTS
Bear in mind, these are just a starting point as all holidays are customised to the specific requirements of our guests. Whether you prefer a different style of accommodation, a greater focus on a particular interest or to go to a different destination all together, every itinerary is created individually around your preferences.
ATLAS MOUNTAINS
Flying into Marrakech, you’ll be met and transferred to your award-winning boutique hotel located high up in the Atlas Mountains. Perched on a rocky outcrop, you’ll find yourself at the heart of the Toubkal National Park with unbeatable views across the jagged peaks, valleys and waterfalls. You’ll be able to explore the park alongside a qualified mountain guide, follow scenic hiking trails and even climb the slopes of Mount Toubkal itself.
Close by lies the traditional village of Imlal, whilst Marrakech and its bustling bazaars are just a 90-minute drive away.
Stay: Two nights in a superior room at Kasbah du Toubkal – bed & breakfast
ESSAOUIRA
Leaving Morocco’s mountains behind, your journey now brings you to historic Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast. You’ll have ample opportunity to explore the city, a UNESCO World Heritage site that was once considered to be the best anchorage along the Moroccan coast. It’s medina, protected by 18th century ramparts, is a joy to explore whilst the warm, protected waters of the bay are perfect for swimming and surfing. Your hotel, in the style of a traditional riad, enjoys a central location and offers you easy access to the beach, souks and major attractions.
Stay: Two nights in a classic room at Villa Maroc – bed & breakfast
MARRAKECH
Finally, you make your way back to Marrakech to spend two nights in an authentic, beautifully restored riad just steps from the Royal Palace. A guide will take you on a tour of this enchanting city, focusing on the ancient, walled Medina where you’ll discover the 12th century Koutoubia Mosque – the largest mosque in the city – and El Badi Palace with its sunken gardens and huge courtyard.
You’ll also discover the elaborately decorated Saadian tombs and stunning Bahia Palace – a masterpiece of domestic architecture with beautiful marble, stucco and mosaic interiors. Not forgetting the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa market square where you can bargain for jewellery, carpets, frankincense, robes and souvenirs.
Stay: Two nights in a superior patio room at Les Jardins de la Medina – bed & breakfast
