ABOUT THE ITINERARY
DESIGNED BY SPECIALISTS
Bear in mind, these are just a starting point as all holidays are customised to the specific requirements of our guests. Whether you prefer a different style of accommodation, a greater focus on a particular interest or to go to a different destination all together, every itinerary is created individually around your preferences.
MARRAKECH
Your first port of call is Morocco’s enthralling capital city. Flying into Marrakech, you’ll be met and transferred to your luxury riad in the heart of the old kasbah. Here you will find yourself perfectly poised for exploring the medina and buzzing Jemaa el-Fna square where you can bargain over jewellery, carpets, frankincense and robes.
During your stay a guide will lead you on a fascinating half-day tour of this enchanting city, taking in ancient landmarks like the 12th century Koutoubia Minaret, the elaborately decorated Saadian Tombs and the magnificent El Badi Palace with its sunken gardens and huge courtyard.
Stay: Two nights at the Almaha Hotel & Spa
ESSAOUIRA
Today you’ll leave Marrakech behind and transfer to another charming riad, this time in the historic, picturesque port city of Essaouira on the Atlantic coast. Enjoy wandering the UNESCO-listed walled old town with its imposing 18th century ramparts, al fresco cafes and soothing ocean views. Thanks to strong trade winds, the city’s beach is a hotspot for kite and windsurfing enthusiasts, whilst the warm, protected waters are ideal for swimmers. You’ll also find fresh seafood in abundance.
In the evening, head to the panoramic rooftop terrace of your hotel where you can drink in stunning sunset views over the old city.
Stay: Two nights at L’Heure Bleue
AGADIR
You now set off for Agadir, a modern beach resort lying on the southern Atlantic Coast at the base of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. With its busy mix of traditional architecture, jostling souks and great sight-seeing opportunities – the city offers a memorable snapshot into Moroccan life. Not to mention 300 days of sunshine a year.
Close to Agadir’s wide crescent beach, your hotel offers a pool, sun deck, elegant spa and beautiful gardens for relaxing; the perfect base for exploring Agadir itself. Make time for a trip up to the crumbling remains of the city’s 16th century hilltop kasbah for glorious views across the harbour.
Stay: One night at Riad Villa Blanche
DAKHLA
Day six brings you to the desert oasis of Dakhla, a leading kitesurfing destination set on a narrow, 50km long peninsula protruding into the Atlantic Ocean. Famed for its flat-water lagoon, world-class waves and empty beaches, the water sports opportunities are outstanding, but you can also spend time soaking up the area’s ancient culture, visiting oyster farms and taking boat trips out to the offshore dune known as Dragon Island. The region is also home to a diverse array of marine life, with dolphins, orcas and flamingos all to be spotted.
Stay: Four nights at Dakhla Attitude
CASABLANCA
You now arrive in Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city, where you will be spending one night at a converted 1930’s mansion in the pretty Art Deco quarter. Relax or venture out to discover nearby sites such as the Hassan Il Mosque – one of the largest mosques in the world with a 210-metre-tall minaret.
Stay: One night at the Doge Hotel
