ABOUT THE ITINERARY
Flying into Thailand, you’ll spend two nights in Chiang Rai before cruising down the Mekong to Laos’ old royal capital of Luang Prabang. Little changed over the centuries, Luang Prabang has natural beauty in abundance and an old quarter filled with beautiful temples.
From there it’s onto Pakse and the extraordinary Khmer Hindu temple complex of Wat Phou. You’ll have time to explore the wonderful riverine archipelago of Si Phan Don by boat, before catching a flight across the border into Cambodia’s Siem Reap. Here you’ll find yourself at the doorstep of the ‘lost city’ of Angkor, one of the true ancient wonders of the world.
