CONTEMPORARY BUT WITH NATURAL FEEL
Huge mahogany, sausage, winter thorn and acacia trees frame this secluded safari camp in the Lower Zambezi National Park.
Nestled in the heart of the untamed wilderness that is the Lower Zambezi, Potato Bush Camp enjoys a scenic view over the Zambezi River. The camp itself has a contemporary but natural feel with a blend of solid Zambian rosewood and traditional canvas in its construction. As well as an open-plan dining area, a well-stocked bar and a comfortable lounge, the property has its own riverside campfire for huddling around during the star-lit evenings.
Raised timber walkways connect the main lodge to the three safari tents and two-bedroom family house. All are generously sized and equipped with ensuite bathrooms and a full-size claw-foot bathtub. Opening the folding doors leads you onto a spacious balcony where you’ll be met by calming river views, a hammock and your own personal plunge pool for dipping into between activities.
Located deep inside the national park, you’re unlikely to see another vehicle on your game drives. Common sightings do include elephant, hippo, buffalo, wild dog, zebra, hyena and impala as well as predators like leopard, lion and hyena. Alternate your game drives with enchanting canoe and boat rides down the Zambezi.
