A PRIVATE LODGE NEAR MARTINS BAY SPIT
On the second night of the Hollyford Wilderness Experience, you will spend the night at Waitai Lodge, a comfortable and private lodge situated on the lowland flats near the Hollyford River and Martins Bay Spit. Surrounded by the distant sound of waves crashing on the beach, Waitai Lodge is an unforgettable place to stop on your journey through the Hollyford Valley.
Designed to provide a level of comfort and indulgence in the middle of the beautiful Hollyford Valley, Waitai Lodge is equipped with a dining and lounge area, an open fire and bedrooms with fully appointment en-suite bathrooms. Waitai Lodge prides itself on conserving energy and is powered by battery bank electricity.
On arrival, you can expect a three-course meal before taking a spot in front of the fire or soaking in one of the wood-fired hot tubs. On a clear night, you will see the sky become a blanket of stars which shine brighter due to the remote nature of Martins Bay and the lack of pollution.
