AN EXQUISITE AND EXCLUSIVE SOUTH AFRICA SAFARI
Situated within a 30,600-acre area of the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve, Lion Sands is one of the oldest private nature reserves in South Africa. Sharing open borders with the infamous Kruger National Park, the Lion Sands Lodges have been family-owned since 1948 and are the only safari lodges on the banks of the Sabie River. With each of the Lodges blending seamlessly into their untamed surroundings and offering panoramic views of the pristine wilderness, the Lion Sands Lodges promise a unique, exclusive and luxury safari experience like no other.
The Lion Sands Lodges are comprised of four luxury lodges, the River Lodge, the Ivory Lodge, the Tinga Lodge and the Narina Lodge, as well as two exclusive private residences, the Hinkwenu Residence and Fish Eagle Residence. Each of the four lodges withhold eight to nine luxury suites of varying sizes, all of which have their own en-suite bathroom, a comfortable king size bed and either a private plunge pool or wooden deck where you can see the hippos wallowing in the Sabie River. With two bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, private deck and a resident butler, housekeeper and chef, the two residences of Hinkwenu and Fish Eagle offer an unparalleled private safari experience, perfect for families and small groups embarking on a South Africa safari.
Spend your days on a guided game safari and bush walk witnessing first-hand Africa’s extraordinary wildlife, including the Big Five, 150 different mammals and over 500 varieties of bird species. For an utterly unique and spectacular stay, the Lion Sands Lodges have three treehouses where you can sleep under the stars in complete privacy whilst listening to the incredible sounds of the wildlife roaming the bush below.
