SET IN 54,000 ACRES OF PRIVATE WILDERNESS
The home of the rare blue crane, the Eastern Cape is also home to Kwandwe Camp. Don’t forget to check out the ’Big Five′ too.
Kwandwe means ‘place of the blue crane’ in isiXhosa and it is here that you have your best chance of seeing this rare, beautiful and vulnerable bird.
Kwandwe is also the place to see other threatened species too – like black wildebeest, crowned eagles, black-footed cats, Knysna woodpeckers and Cape grysbok – as well as the Big Five that are on every safaristi’s list of must-sees.
And sometimes you don’t have to travel far to capture your wildlife trophies. Kudu wander down to the river to drink. Cape otters play in the cool water – all within easy viewing distance of your observation deck.
