Recharge after your safari
Perfect for re-charging after a safari, Kenya’s glorious coastline offers a different world from the adventures inland. Spend your days lounging on white sands, wading in crystal clear waters and enjoying exciting water sports – all while staying in beautiful, luxury accommodation.
The sun-kissed shores of Kenya’s coast are met on one side by the glimmering waters of the Indian Ocean and on the other by flourishing mangrove forests, offering a variety of land and water-based activities. Kite-surfing, snorkelling, sailing and diving are all exceptional here, however you may want to just soak up the sun, get lost in a book under swaying palms and enjoy the simple tranquillity only the coast can offer.
One of our favourite spots along the coast is palm-fringed Diani Beach where you can head out in a glass-bottomed boat to get even closer to the region’s diverse marine life. Watamu Beach is famed for its superb diving and snorkelling, with its waters and off-shore coral formations all protected as part of a marine national park.
For many, a trip to the Kenyan Coast will follow from a safari; getting to the coast from many of the main National Parks is simple with direct flights from the Masai Mara. For those who want to base themselves at the beach, you can also do a safari from the coast. The Shimla Hills National Park is a short distance from Diani Beach and offers excellent wildlife encounters with monkeys, elephants, buffalo and the rare sable antelope.
Whether you’re looking for the perfect spot to end a wildlife trip or simply want an idyllic beach escape, we can help to create your ultimate luxury trip to the Kenyan Coast.
